\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOur Parent and Child program is determined by a child\u2019s age and commences at 6 months through to 3 years old. Parents are actively involved in teaching their children skills relating to water safety, water familiarisation and skill development.\n\nOur classes are focussed on building a child\u2019s self-confidence in the water. This is achieved through implementing structured and relaxed activities that provide children with the opportunity to develop and build their water-based skills.\n\nWe place a strong emphasis on swim skill attainment and general mobility in the water and believe that children learn best and do well in a fun and balanced class environment.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Students are taught the fundamentals of swimming and basic stroke development in Backstroke and Freestyle. Emphasis is placed on developing and strengthening kicking techniques, water independence and class participation.\u00a0At this level, children are particularly vulnerable around water and require focus and constant supervision.\u00a0<\/span>Water Safety is paramount and is presented in a fun yet structured manner.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSwimming lessons increase to 45mins in the advanced levels, assisting to improve a student\u2019s fitness and endurance. While building endurance, we also focus on developing student\u2019s technique and training skills, through interval training and the use of the pace clock.\n\nWe cover all four strokes including tumble turns and diving skills at this level. \n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOur School Program provides students of all ages and abilities, the opportunity in learning to swim. Our swimming program is complemented by water safety survival techniques and activities across all platforms.\n\nMentone Aquatic utilizes the \u2018FIN\u2019 Certificate system which has proven highly successful in over 25 years of learning to swim. The \u2018FIN\u2019 system provides our team the framework to teach students swimming in the most effective and efficient means. We also include elements of Royal Life Saving\u2019s \u2018Swim & Survive\u2019 program. For best results, we recommend schools a 2-week intensive swimming program. Typically, this seems to provide students the best outcomes and most improvement. Our 250+ seat stadium allows spectators to have plenty of space to watch lessons and prepare students for their turn in the water.
